Abstract
A look at several Mainers who have become vintners, including Kyle Wolfe, who runs Clown stores in York and Stonington, and who with her husband, Martin Kolk, produces wine at their Tuscany estate. Dan Kravitz of Harpswell represents small growers and sells their wine, blends his own, and makes wines from vineyards he leases in California and owns in France. David Willey of Old Orchard Beach rents California vineyards to produce wines under his two labels, Serenity and Spotlight. Rob Flory of Walpole partners with California winemaker Gary Eberle to produce wines that are aged in underground caves.
