Abstract

The Abyssinian Meeting House , the center of the Underground Railroad in Maine is being restored to become the Abyssinian Museum of Culture and History. Anti-slavery speeches were given there by Frederick Douglas, William Lloyd Garrison, and Charles Lenox Remond. [photographs]
