Abstract

"chowder" piece on a postage stamp honoring former Maine summer resident R. Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983), inventor of the geodesic dome. The stamp, released on July 12, recreates the January 10, 1964 "Time" magazine cover. Fuller always maintained that his summers on Bear Island in Maine deeply influenced him.
