Abstract

"Inside Story" piece on a family from Washington, D. C., who hired Washington interior designer Mary Drysdale to design a house for them on Prouts Neck. She chose the simplicity of Shingle Style, and they brought in Portland architect Rick Renner to design the exterior of the house, with a gambrel roof design similar to several John Calvin Stevens-designed homes on Portland's Western Prom. Larry Wagner of Eider Construction in Scarborough was responsible for general construction.
