Abstract

The Saco Drive-In is the nation’s second oldest operational drive-in and now, thanks to Honda’s Project Drive-In contest, it has the funds to purchase a digital projector, a necessity as so many film distributors are discontinuing film as an option. Ry Russell, the drive-in’s youthful owner, discusses how they approached the contest and why drive-ins matter.
