Sue W. Davenport, 57, of Barnstable, Mass., the former head of the New England office of the U.S. Health and Human Services Department, on Wednesday was named as Gov. McKernan's nominee to head the state Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. Davenport succeeds Robert W. Glover, who resigned in September to take a position with a national lobbying group on mental health. Details.
