Abstract

The Legislature's Appropriations and Human Resources committees heard from welfare recipients and their advocates who were protesting McKernan administration plans to cut $35 million from the welfare budget. The governor's budget would affect the Aid to Families with Dependent Children's program, the General Assistance program and others.
