Abstract

Every Monday through Thursday the clinic at the Community Resource Center at 15 Portland Street offers complete health care to Portland's working poor. The clinic, sponsored by Mercy Hospital and run by the city's division of public health, is staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses and clerical workers, and provides services to people who have no health insurance and are unable to afford medical care.
