Abstract

The Legislature last year created the 13-member Groundfish Hatchery Study Commission to examine the feasibility and -- cost-effectiveness of raising cod in on-shore hatcheries and releasing them in the ocean to enhance wild stocks -- The first study released by the commission shows that if just three fish out of every 1,000 hatchlings make it to the dinner table the benefits of the project would outweigh the costs -- Details
