Army Staff Sgt. Thomas J. Field, 25, of Lisbon, who died during a firefight in Somalia on October 3, yesterday was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Air Medal for his actions. Field was one of 18 American soldiers who died during the October battle. Details.
