Abstract

University of Maine System trustees have asked University of Maine at Augusta President George Connick to draw up a plan to link the state's schools, businesses, hospitals and other institutions via the information highway. The federal Department of Commerce will be awarding $26 million to the 50 states in the coming year, and trustees want the university system to be prepared to apply for some of that funding.
