Abstract

Residential Mortgage Corp. of Rhode Island, doing business in Maine as RMC Mortgage, on Friday abruptly closed its South Portland office, but promised to continue processing Maine loans from its Cranston headquarters. Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection Superintendent William N. Lund said that consumers are protected should RMC fail to meet its obligations.
