Abstract

The city of Portland has formed the Family Violence Collaborative, a community-wide effort to focus attention on domestic abuse and to create a system where agencies work together to aid victims. The group includes representatives from law enforcement, social services, schools, public housing and women's shelter and crisis services, and plans to meet monthly to examine the system from prevention to court remedies.
