Abstract

Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) is asking the Maine Public Utilities Commission to authorize the formation of an unregulated subsidiary and affiliates that would operate outside the region. The Industrial Energy Consumers Group, a group of CMP customers, has criticized the plan, saying it does not guarantee that the utility's customers won't be harmed by the an unregulated energy entity.
