Abstract

Former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop yesterday met with Gov. McKernan in Augusta and urged Maine to join New Hampshire and Vermont in building a medical communications network to link rural parts of the three states. The C. Everett Koop Institute at Dartmouth College has been spearheading the drive for a northern New England health telecommunications network since last December, and Koop envisions the plan as a model for the nation.
