Abstract

The Portland Police Department, the federal Division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Portland Fire Department are investigating a pipe bomb explosion that blew out the roof of a baseball dugout near Lyseth Elementary School. The damage was discovered Sunday, and the explosion might have occurred Saturday night. Sharpnel from the incident was blown more than 125 feet into the right and left fields of Lamb Memorial Field on Auburn Street.
