Abstract

SKI Ltd. of Sherburne, Vt., yesterday officially purchased a 51 percent stake in Sugarloaf Mountain Corp. The purchase will allow Sugarloaf to complete a planned $4.5 million expansion of its lift capacity and ski terrain, and will make SKI Ltd. by far the largest ski resort operator in New England. Sugarloaf, Maine's second-busiest ski resort after Sunday River, hosts 350,000 skiers per season and has annual revenues of $17 million.
