Abstract

John Chandler, a native of Oakland and Freeport, has been named as the new executive director of Maine Coast Artists in Rockport. Chandler received a master's degree in English and philosophy at the University of Chicago, and is currently director of the Jamaica Plains Art Center in Massachusetts. He previously worked as curator at Boston's Institute for Contemporary Art and director of the Attleboro Museum in Massachusetts.
