Doug Friedman, 23, a native of Cape Elizabeth who helped Boston University to two National Collegiate Athletic Association hockey championships in four years, yesterday agreed to a contract with the Quebec Nordiques of the National Hockey League. Friedman left Maine to play at Lawrence (Mass.) Academy, a prep school, and was a walk-on at BU. Details.
