Abstract

President Clinton yesterday visited Bath Iron Works, and told a crowd of more than 1,000 that the new contract between BIW and workers is an example of how labor and management can work together for the common good. Clinton toured the USS Laboon, an Aegis guided-missile destroyer, and during his speech paid tribute to U.S. represenative Thomas Andrews, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, and other Democratic candidates.
