Abstract

Brief article reporting that Utility Data Institute of Washington has ranked the Maine Yankee power plant as the third highest producer of electricity among the country's 108 operating nuclear utilities. The Wiscasset reactor had a 1993 capacity factor of 71 percent, as compared to a nationwide average of 65 percent, and has produced 107.7 billion kilowatt hours of electricity since it went on line in 1972.
