(CMP) to buy out its contract with Fairfield Energy Venture. The business group said that it supports the continued operation of the Fort Fairfield power plant, and that the PUC has failed to fulfill the intent of state legislation under which CMP obtained low-interest financing for the buyout from the Finance Authority of Maine.
