Abstract

The most recent proposal by the town of Cumberland to build a new Chebeague Island ferry terminal on Cousins Island in Yarmouth met with mixed reaction when presented to Yarmouth town officials and residents. Many approve of the plan to locate the $1.5 million facility on Central Maine Power Co. land, but do not want to accept a 166-space overflow parking lot at the corner of Wharf and Island roads.
