Abstract

Portland historian Herbert C. Adams has located a photograph which he says shows the location of where the time-capsule was buried when the city's Soldiers and Sailors Monument was dedicated. The 104-year-old photograph apparently shows a copper box just before it was entombed in the center of the monument's base. Details.
