Abstract

The city of Bath has hired Robert McDonald of Coopers & Lybrand of Boston to critique an appraisal of Bath Iron Works done by a company hired by BIW, which is claiming the city over-assessed the value of the yard by as much as $158 million, resulting in a 1991 tax bill that was almost $3 million too high.
