Abstract

A public forum sponsored by the Portland West Neighborhood Planning council on the construction plans for the new Portland Bridge heard comments to the effect that bicyclists, children and businesses should be given a higher priority in the final construction plans now being developed. The bridge is scheduled to open in 1997, and initial construction has already began.
