Abstract

Allen Browne, a pediatric surgeon, believes 13-year old Nermina Omeragil, who was was wounded by mortar fragments on August 14, now has a 90 percent chance of keeping her leg following surgury at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. The youth was brough to Portland from Bosnia by Portland-based Veterans for Peace. She was accompanied to this country by her 15-year-old brother.
