Abstract

Master Sgt. Gary I. Gordon, 33, of Lincoln, and Sgt. Thomas J. Field, 25, of Lisbon, were killed in fighting earlier this week in Somalia. The two were among at least 15 Americans killed in fighting during a weekend skirmish with forces loyal to Somali warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid. Details, related article.
