Abstract

The decision of the MacDonald's Corp. to build a restaurant about a half-mile from the center of Damariscotta has finally interested some residents in zoning, which was rejected in 1962 and 1985 as an infringement on landowner's rights. Residents fear that a MacDonald's may lead to strip development.
