Abstract

The state recently discovered violations at many of the community-care homes operated by Port Resources, a non-profit agency which operates facilities for mentally retarded adults. An official with the Maine Department of Mental Health and Retardation believes facilities such as the ones run by John F. Murphy Homes Inc. are more representative of what is available to the mentally retarded in the state. Details, related article.
