Abstract

The Legislature's Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a public hearing today on a bill supported by the Maine Alliance which would reduce state oversight over land use and give broad new authority to cities and towns. The pro-business group's proposal is seen as a good idea by many private environmental organizations, but they caution that it should be studied closer.
