Abstract
Stanley Frautten, 58, is the owner and operator of T-Bob's Taxi, the only cab service in Dexter. He is privy to much that goes on in the town, which, in 2001, lost Dexter Shoe Factory, a major employer. With the shoe industry gone, and with it the daily business he relied on, his days as a taxi driver will soon be over. He worries about customers dependent on him to get to the store or to a doctor. Before he moves away to his girlfriend's house in Vienna, friends and family throw a party for him. He goes through his last day as a cab driver.
