Abstract

Bangor International Airport might become a temporary storage site for low-level radioactive waste en route to Russia, and the prospect frightens area residents. Some residents around the airport fear that any revenue from the proposal might be offset by potential problems associated with the plan. A coalition has formed to fight the proposal. State representative Hugh Morrison, who lives near the airport, sees no danger in the proposal.
