Abstract
The Maine Art Education Association is sponsoring an exhibition of 116 works by elementary and secondary students from across the state. The show, in honor of National Youth Art Month, opened February 29 at the Portland Musuem of Art's Sweat Memorial Galleries, and brings attention to the importance of art in the school curriculum. The show was coordinated by Wes LaFountain of PMA, who was given MAEA's Art Advocate of the Year award for his efforts. Details.
