Abstract

A bill to be considered in the Legislature would allow school lunch programs to use polystyrene foam trays and cups instead of the environmentally preferable paper products, which cost more but are less harmful to the environment. The bill would allow polystyrene use only in towns with a polystyrene recycling program in place, of which there are few in the state.
