Abstract

Utility crews from Bangor Hydro-Electric are installing power lines along a stretch of Route 182 in Washington County between Franklin and Cherryfield, a road which has been designated a state scenic highway. When asked about the implications of the designation and how it may bear on work along such highways, a Maine Department of Transportation official refused to comment because the MDOT legal affairs staff had just begun looking into the situation.
