Abstract
Herbert Swett, owner of the Madison-Skowhegan Trolley Line, established an amusement park at Lake Wesserunsett in Skowhegan in 1901. The Lakewood Theater, officially called the State Theatre of Maine, has seating for 350 in the orchestra, and a large central balcony. Review of the Lakewood Theater production of "Monky Business."
