Abstract
Details on the legal challenge to Maine's term limits law. Stephen Langsdorf, an attorney representing the League of Women Voters, the Maine Council of Senior Citizens and others, on Tuesday argued in front of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court that the law is unconstitutional. Chief Justice Daniel Wathen said he considered the term limits referendum a legislative act that carries the same weight as a term limits bill. The court is expected to rule on the issue this fall.
