Abstract
The Eastern Maine AIDS Network, based in Bangor, serves Piscataquis, Penobscot and Aroostook counties. The agency has 60 clients, and most new referrals are heterosexual. Ann, a single mother in her 30s who has AIDS, wrote a poem about how AIDS affects families. Ann goes to schools to talk about the disease, and plans to attend memorials and other events for World AIDS Day on December 1. Text of "The Day Santa Cried," the poem Ann wrote about AIDS.
