Abstract

The Natural Resources Council of Maine, which has a representative on the 21-member Maine Turnpike public advisory committee, has criticized a report commissioned by the Maine Turnpike Authority. The study, by Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, found that traffic on the turnpike will exceed capacity if no action is taken on widening or alternative transportation policies. The study is to be reviewed today by the full advisory committee. Details.
