Abstract

Alternative dispute resolution, a method of solving disputes outside the courtroom, has been praised by the American Bar Association as a means to reduce caseloads and increase public satisfaction with the legal system. The development of an alternative dispute resolution program was also one of the main recommendations of the Commission to Study the Future of Maine's Courts. Details.
