Abstract

Central Maine Power Co. (CMP) donated $300,000 to Whirlpool to subsidize a super-efficient, chloroflourocarbon-free refrigerator, and because of that donation Mainers will be among the first in the nation to be able to purchase one of the new refrigerators. CMP was one of 24 utilities that contributed between $150,000 to $7 million based on how many residential customers they had.
