Abstract

A group of lawmakers, lawyers and lobbyists last week joined bicyclists in participating in the Bicycle Coalition of Maine's Legislative Awareness Day to promote safe biking in Maine. Coalition executive director Jeff Miller discussed the planned Kennebec River Rail Trail, which has received federal funding and approval from Augusta, Hallowell and Gardiner. Miller also discussed other proposed trails projects, one from Portland to Fryeburg and and another one being considered for the abandoned Brewer-Ellsworth-Calais rail corridor. Details.
