Abstract
Details on last Thursday's public hearing in Richmond, on the proposed Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline. Residents of Pittston, Pownal and other towns along the proposed pipeline route are upset over plans to cut a 75-foot swath through some areas. The $3.5 billion pipeline would run 620 miles from Sable Island off Nova Scotia to Dracut, Massachusetts, and would cover 230 miles through 92 communities in Maine.
