Abstract
Profile of John Alphonse, 33, founder of Reality X (http://realitytimes.com), the Portland area's only web-based magazine of news and the arts. Alphonse majored in English and photojournalism at the University of Maine at Orono, and runs his publication on a virtual shoestring. A new issue of Reality X appears every month, and features two or three news stories, an opinion piece, art photos, digital art, creative writing and bits of Portland history.
