Abstract

Profile of textile designer and weaver Ron King, 54, of Penobscot, who helped form North County textiles, a cooperative of three weavers, which recently changed from being a wholesale to being a retail business. There is a year-round store in Blue Hill and a summer store in South Penobscot. King, who watched his partner die of AIDS three years ago, is also the executive director of Ellsworth's Down East Aids Network.
