Abstract
The International Masons, in conjunction with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, is sponsoring the sixth two-week Masonry Camp on Swan's Island for selected mason apprentices and architecture graduate students and interns from across the country. The free camp has accepted 48 campers for the first week and 50 the second, with equal numbers of masons and architects participating each week. They are divided into mixed groups and given a design challenge, with the goal being enhance communication between the two groups. IMI would like to expand the camp to three weeks next summer and establish a permanent facility on the island.
