Abstract
Bessie Wright Phillips has made a donation of 7,000 acres in the Rangeley Lakes area which will be combined with existing public lands to create a wild area of more than 33,000 acres. The federal government will administer the land, the sixth largest tract of protected land in the state, and use of the Phillips donation will be restricted to primitive camping.
