Abstract

"News & Issues" piece on the Maine Electric Consumers Coalition, which has requested New York State Gas & Electric (NYSG&E) executives to appear before the Maine Public Utilities Commission to publicly discuss their pending acquisition of Central Maine Power (CMP). Last month, Energy East, a holding company of NYSG & E, offered $957 million for CMP, which would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy East in a merger arrangement.
