Abstract

"News & Issues" piece on the Newport-based mission "Reaching Truckers for Christ," which was founded by Rev. A. J. Walker and his wife, Linda, who came to Maine in the early 1970s and served as missionaries working in logging camps for nearly two decades. The Walkers, who say they have ministered to about 3,500 truckers in the past eight years, maintain four chapels in Maine at truck stops located in Newport, Fairfield, Hermon and Kittery.
